What is the Sculptra® Treatment Like?

Before your Sculptra® treatment, apply a topical anesthetic 30-45 minutes prior to minimize any discomfort that may occur during the injection process. A topical anesthetic is available for purchase at our office.  Injections are then made in and around the desired treatment area. The number of injections required will depend on the area being treated as well as your desired results. A Sculptra® treatment takes less than 30 minutes, making it a great option for patients with a busy schedule.

What is the Recovery Period Like Following Sculptra®?

After your Sculptra® treatment, you may experience swelling, bruising or sensitivity in the treatment area. These are common effects from treatment, and typically fade within a day or two. Despite these minor side effects, you will be able to return to work and all other normal activities immediately following your appointment. There is no downtime or recovery period involved after Sculptra®.

What Kind of Results Can I Expect from Sculptra®?

The results from Sculptra® will become visible as the formula stimulates natural collagen production in the body. Patients typically begin to notice results within a month, and will enjoy continued improvement in these results for up to six months after treatment.
