What is Jueveau®?
Jueveau® is one of the newest FDA-approved injectable treatments used to improve the appearance of fine lines and moderate wrinkles around the brows, forehead, and eyes. Also commonly referred to as #NEWTOX, Jueveau® is often compared to Botox® for its natural-looking results. Like Botox®, Jeuveau® works by temporarily relaxing the muscles in the treated areas to smooth away fine lines and wrinkles caused by repeated facial expressions. We often recommend patients consider Jeuveau® to treat frown lines between the brows, fine lines, and deep wrinkles along the forehead, (crow’s feet) around the eyes, or as a preventative treatment to counteract future signs of aging.
How Much Does Jueveau® Cost?
The cost of Jeuveau® typically ranges from $12-15 per unit depending on the amount of product used and the areas treated. If you undergo Jeuveau® at Baldone Reina Dermatology, you will first have a consultation with one of our board-certified dermatologists. During this consultation, we will assess your current condition and your treatment goals in order to determine the best approach for your Jeuveau® treatment. Once these variables are evaluated, we will be able to provide you with the cost of treatment and any associated fees.
What is the Jueveau® Treatment Like?
Before your Jeuveau® treatment begins, we will apply ice to your treated areas to minimize any pain and bruising that may occur throughout the injection process. Then, Jeuveau® injections are placed in and around the desired treatment area. The number of injections required will depend on the area being treated as well as your desired results. A Jeuveau® treatment takes less than 10 minutes, making it a great option for patients with a busy schedule.
What is the Recovery Period Like Following Jueveau®?
Following your Jeuveau® treatment, you may experience mild swelling, bruising, or sensitivity around your treatment area. These are common effects of treatment and typically fade within a day or two. Despite these minor side effects, you will be able to return to work and all other normal activities immediately following your appointment.
What Kind of Results Can I Expect from Jueveau®?
Once the Jeuveau® formula takes effect in the muscles, your results will become visible, which usually happens within a week. You may begin to notice some results as soon as three to five days post-treatment, with the peak effect at two weeks.
