What is Psoriasis & Eczema Treatment?

Psoriasis

Psoriasis and eczema are chronic skin conditions that cause the appearance of itchy rashes. In addition to causing discomfort, these symptoms often make patients feel self-conscious about the appearance of the skin. At Baldone Reina Dermatology, we offer a number of treatments for both eczema and psoriasis. We provide prescription medications for the treatment of both conditions. Many advances have been made in the treatment of eczema and psoriasis including oral medications and injections. We provide the most cutting edge treatments available for our patients with psoriasis and eczema.

How Much Does Psoriasis & Eczema Treatment Cost?

If you elect to have psoriasis or eczema treatment at Baldone Reina Dermatology, you will first have a consultation with one of our board-certified dermatologists. During this consultation, we will assess your current condition and your treatment goals in order to determine the best approach for your treatment. In some cases, your treatment may be eligible for coverage by health insurance. Once these variables are considered and your eligibility for insurance coverage is determined, we will be able to provide you with the cost of treatment and any associated fees.

What is Atopic Dermatitis?

Atopic dermatitis is a form of eczema that typically develops during youth. If you have atopic dermatitis, you will experience red, itchy patches of skin, most often on the arms and behind the knees. Atopic dermatitis is chronic, meaning that it can’t be cured, but its symptoms can be effectively managed with the right treatments. We prescribe topical medications as well as oral and injectable medications for the treatment of atopic dermatitis.

What is Contact Dermatitis?

Contact dermatitis is a form of eczema that develops when the skin makes contact with an irritating substance. You may develop contact dermatitis after prolonged exposure to jewelry, soaps or other cosmetic products. A rash will develop in the area where contact was made. In most cases, determining the source of contact dermatitis and avoiding its use will cause the symptoms to fade. However, we provide topical medications for more severe or persistent cases.
