Restylane® is an injectable treatment that is used to restore volume in the face or hands, smoothing out wrinkles and lines to rejuvenate the appearance. The Restylane® formula is composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that the body uses to retain moisture and skin volume. Restylane® helps to restore a natural-looking volume to the face and hands allowing patients to achieve a more youthful appearance.
How Much Does Restylane® Cost?
If you elect to receive Restylane® at Baldone Reina Dermatology, you will
first have a consultation with one of our board-certified dermatologists.
During this consultation, we will assess your current condition and your
treatment goals in order to determine the best approach for your Restylane®
treatment. Once these variables are evaluated, we will be able to provide you
with the cost of treatment and any associated fees.
What is the Restylane® Treatment Like?
Before your Restylane® treatment, apply a topical anesthetic 30-45 minutes prior to minimize any discomfort that may occur during the injection process. A topical anesthetic is available for purchase at our office. Restylane® also includes lidocaine, a local numbing agent which will further reduce any discomfort. Injections are then made in and around the desired treatment area. The number of injections required will depend on the area being treated as well as your desired results. A Restylane® treatment takes less than 30 minutes, making it a great option for patients with a busy schedule.
What is the Recovery Period Like Following Restylane®?
After your Restylane® treatment, you may experience swelling, bruising or sensitivity in the treatment area. These are common effects of treatment, and will typically fade within a day or two. Despite these minor side effects, you will be able to return to work and all other normal activities immediately following your appointment. There is no downtime or recovery period involved with Restylane®.
What Kind of Results Can I Expect from Restylane®?
The results from Restylane® are visible immediately upon injection as the Restylane® formula adds volume to the skin. Patients can enjoy long-lasting and natural-looking volume following their Restylane® treatment. When used for hand rejuvenation, results are proven to last for six months or longer. For facial rejuvenation, patients can expect results to last up to a year or longer.
